Ideas of the type of filming I wish to use

My overall type of filming i wish to have, is the idea of a documentary with Daisy. I want her to really show her natural self to the audience, and the only way i feel i can do this is by using a documentary style filming.

I want to use a vast amount of shot, ranging abruptly from long shot, to extreme close up. I love the idea of using abrupt editing, I feel it would make the piece a lot more interesting and also it creates adrenaline, curiosity and tension within the piece. By editing fast paced in particular with the cinematography, It allows the audience to become closer to the character not just physically, but mentally as well. I feel an emotion and a connection through the use of the editing will establish a connection between audience and character.


I wish to use different colours, to explain the emotions and the fantasy of a perfect world in which she craves. I also wish to use colours to explain her frame of mind, how she is not on earth, she is in another place.

I want to use black and white medium close up, profile shots to reflect the realism and the documentary feel towards the film. I also want to heighten the contrast and alter the brightness of the shot to bring some stronger contrast, not just black and white, i feel this resembles the idea of her being out in the open as well as create the idea she is different.

I want to reflect the idea she is someone different, and nobody understands her. Therefor i want to play with the sound, some of her speech i would like to reverse therefore creating something which sounds like a different language, and by this i feel it reflects the idea, once again she is strongly different.
